Footaslyum has chosen John Turner Construction as the main contractor to expand their distribution centre in Greater Manchester.

The 17 week programme, which starts on site next month, will see the existing warehouse increase its floor space with the construction works taking place while the building remains fully operational.

Design and build works include the installation of a 56,000 sq ft steel mezzanine, steel staircases and goods conveyor along with break-through to existing offices. Other works will involve new M&E services and sprinklers.

One of the leading retailers of footwear and apparel, Footasylum, was established in 2005 and trades from over 65 stores across the UK. Always ahead of the game, Footasylum has outgrown its 143,873 sq ft detached two bay distribution warehouse within a year since moving there in June 2017.
