Posted on May 23rd, 2018
The University of Manchester has awarded John Turner Construction the contract to refurbish the Oaklands and Christie blocks at Hulme Hall, situated on the Victoria Park Campus to the south of the city. This contract was secured via the Construction Partnering Framework as part of the University’s estates redevelopment programme.
Originally built in the 1960’s, the blocks will undergo refurbishment and remodelling to all 105 bedrooms, common rooms, corridors and communal spaces, with new decoration, furniture and fittings. The bathrooms, kitchens and toilets will also be updated and new building services installed throughout.
This fast track £1.5m project will start in July and be ready for the arrival of new students in September 2018.
