After a busy year of projects commencing, some of John Turner’s schemes which have completed include:
- a phased project to create Lancaster’s Community Fire and Ambulance Station involving the refurbishment of adjoining vacant former three storey council offices to provide recreation, sleeping, dining and administration spaces for the blue light personnel. This was followed by the demolition of existing redundant buildings along with the design and construction of a community fire and ambulance station with a glazed link to connect the new and old structures. Other facilities included seven canopied ambulance parking bays, watch tower, car park and a perimeter stone wall
- construction of ten detached executive houses for Castlegate Homes/Morbaine Limited at Minshull Court, Chesterfield Road in Crosby. The gated development provides modern family living over a mix of two and two and a half storeys with dormer windows along with detached garages and landscaped gardens
- a new single storey extension comprising two classrooms, studio, offices, store rooms and toilets at St Leonards CofE Primary School at Langho for Lancashire County Council carried out while the school remained fully operational. Works also included summer holiday refurbishment of further classrooms with M&E upgrade, replacement of floor finishes and redecoration. Externally, a new MUGA sports pitch was created along with a new playground and car park extension
- a new single storey hazardous chemical warehouse and relocation of a containment lagoon. This 3800m2 building incorporates an ancillary two storey office bay, external canopy and service yards. We have successfully completed two projects for HW Coates at their Byley site.
