A second project at HW Coates in Middlewich has been awarded to John Turner Construction.

Located in Byley, this 3800m2 project involves the construction of a single storey B8 hazardous chemical storage warehouse incorporating an ancillary two storey office bay, external canopy and service yards along with extension of the drainage system and relocation of a containment lagoon.

With 13 sites across the UK, HW Coates is a leading independent operator in the warehousing and transport of packaged chemicals. Serving most of the major names in global chemicals and pharmaceuticals, they have seven COMAH warehouses across the country and play a leading role in the Hazchem Network which is the UK’s only pallet network dedicated to chemicals.

John Turner Construction completed a new 1125m2 B8 chemical warehouse along with an external loading dock and canopy, as shown in the photo above, for HW Coates in September 2016.

Matthew Coates, Director at HW Coates Ltd said ‘we are looking forward to working with John Turner Construction again on the new build of a 3800m2 chemical warehouse at our Upper Tier COMAH site in Middlewich. They successfully delivered a previous new warehouse project on time and to budget. We look forward to developing the excellent relationship we have already established.’

Paul Hamlett, Contracts Manager at John Turner Construction for both schemes said ‘it’s great to be back at HW Coates, working with the client and same design team. The new warehouse and associated external yards will provide a challenge for the site team dealing with the existing site traffic and operations but we look forward to maintaining a safe and productive relationship with the clients team.’
