Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust
A partnership between the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust and Oldham Council secured financial support from a national investment fund to establish one of 40 new community diagnostic centres (CDCs) in England.
John Turner Construction was selected as the Principal Contractor to oversee the project situated at Salmon Fields in Royton, Oldham. Our responsibilities included site clearance, enabling works and foundations to support the installation of modular units. Additionally, we managed the construction of highways alterations, car-parking facilities, an underground drainage system and service ducts.
The Oldham Community Diagnostic Centre, one of the first CDCs in the region, aims to revolutionise patient care by providing advanced diagnostic technology outside traditional hospital settings. The centre boasts advanced equipment including a GE Discovery 710 PET-CT scanner, a Siemens GO TOP scanner for CT scans and a Philips Ingenia for MRI scans. The services offered encompass endoscopy, urology, blood and lung screening.
