Shorelines Offices

Merseyside Estates

This project involved the refurbishment and fit out of the building known as ‘Shorelines’ which was a former Victorian brick built railway shed previously used by the Littlewoods Organisation for the secure processing of Pools-based postal gaming, Spot-the-ball.

The building contributes to the heritage of the area and the works respected the architectural context.

The refurbishment and fit out comprised the installation of a new steel framed mezzanine structure, new internal heat, cooling and environmental systems to create Grade ‘A’ office accommodation and common part areas. A new entrance lobby and atrium was created with ancillary space for toilets, storage, recreational areas and computer server rooms. The refurbished building is fully DDA compliant.

The project achieved a BREEAM rating of Very Good as well as a Considerate Constructors score of 33 out of 40.
