SPAR Distribution Centre

James Hall & Co

This project, located on a busy industrial unit, involved the extension of the SPAR distribution facility for James Hall & Co to provide additional ambient storage.

Construction comprised a 43055 sq ft extension to the existing goods received/returns warehouse, over a 42 week programme.

The 9m high, single storey building includes 12 loading bays with telescopic dock levellers and canopies. This steel framed warehouse and office building is horizontally clad in various colours co-ordinating with existing buildings on the site.

A glazed two storey office tower overlooks the new external hard standing, providing additional space for up to 24 trucks to load/unload, including trailer parking.

The installation of a syphonic drainage system and underground attenuation tank helps control the flow of surface water from the building and external areas, including the service yard, into the surrounding swales and wetlands.
